Insurance: Third Party (Rights Against Insurers) Act 2010 - Update
In answer to a recent question in parliament, the MoJ minister, Shailesh Vara, simply stated that the Act would be taken forward as soon as parliamentary time was available. The Act aims to correct a number of deficiencies in the current legislation, principally in respect of claims against insolvent insurers and, whilst it has received Royal Assent, it is yet to be put into force.
