Procedure: Senior Courts Costs Office Guide
SCCO Guide
A new edition of the Senior Courts Costs Office Guide is now available, the first new edition since 2006. The guide offers a comprehensive look at all things costs, including a list of instances when costs orders can be enforced in QOCS cases (section 2.9). There are a number of changes to the previous edition, including revisions to reflect the Jackson reforms. Four main sections have been added:
- Costs management orders and costs capping orders (Section 3).
- Provisional assessment of bills not exceeding £75,000 (Section 10).
- Assessment under the High Court Enforcement Officers Regulations 2004 (Section 28).
- Transitional provisions relating to success fees and ATE insurance premiums (Section 30).
