Coroners and Justice Act 2009

An MoJ consultation which sets out proposals for implementing the coroner reforms in Part 1 of the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 has just closed. It was seeking views on proposed coroner investigation regulations, inquest rules, fee and allowance regulations, coroner areas, and statutory guidance for bereaved people.

The MoJ has also published a Summary of Reports and Responses Under Rule 43 of the Coroners Rules 1984 giving details of coroners' reports and responses received from organisations asked to consider action to prevent future deaths between 1 April 2012 and 30 September 2012.
